Show Description: Alissa Cohen has been a raw foodist for 22 years. She is the author of “Living on Live Foods.” She discusses her discovery of raw food and experiences with it. She also talks about her restaurant and raw food classes that she teaches.
Alissa Cohen www.alissacohen.com has been living the raw food lifestyle for 22 years. After suffering from various physical ailments when she was about 19 years old, she tried changing to a raw food diet. She found that this change helped her to heal. She went on and off of the diet for years, but found that she would relapse and experience the same physical ailments whenever she returned to eating cooked food. Alissa believes that it is best for people to stick to a 100% raw diet, because eating cooked food slows down the detoxification process, which is what is required for healing to take place. She advises people to have fun with the raw food diet and to avoid limiting themselves as far as what types of raw food they allow themselves to eat.
