wheatgrass

“Drinking lots of chlorophyll-rich juice is like getting a blood transfusion.
It flushes the lymph system, nourishes and oxygenates the vascular
system, cleanses the intestines, and is healing and soothing to all
mucous membranes.”
—Steve Meyerowitz, Sproutman®

Grazing on Greens

Ever notice how cattle, sheep, goats, and so many creatures graze on grasses? Why is it then that we shy away from greens? So many people run from them like they’re the plague. “Oh, they’ll taste bad” or “they’ll make me gag” we hear folks say over and over. This is so sad that something so healthy for us is labeled with such a negative image. Children pick up on this and they don’t want to try greens either. So we end up with generations of families who consume a lot of fast food, processed foods, and very little of the raw, living ingredients that our bodies were intended to thrive on. Without consuming the life force foods such as wheatgrass offers, our bodies are literally starving and dying and begging to be fed. This is why we’re continuing to see an increase in illness, disease, and premature deaths across the world.

Wheatgrass Whipping Cancer

If you’re battling cancer and feel like it’s hopeless or even if you’re just weak, give wheatgrass a try. What could it hurt to incorporate raw greens like wheatgrass into your life?

Dr. Ann Wigmore, founder of the Hippocrates Health Institute, firmly believes in the healing power of wheatgrass. She calls it “wheatgrass therapy” and says that when you add it with a diet rich in raw, live foods you can reduce cancer growth and a host of other ailments. That’s a miracle—especially if you’re the one who is battling cancer or any illness or disease!

How does wheatgrass whip cancer? Well, Dr. Ann Wigmore says wheatgrass can double your red blood cell count simply by soaking in it. She also says drinking it increases your red blood cell count and that it not only rebuilds your blood, but cleans it as well. It’s like getting a blood transfusion!

Dr. Ann Wigmore goes on to say that even if you’re undergoing conventional medical treatments that wheatgrass: “Lessens the effects of radiation. One enzyme found in wheatgrass, SOD, lessens the effects of radiation and acts as an anti-inflammatory compound that may prevent cellular damage following heart attacks or exposure to irritants.”

Way to go wheatgrass!!

Wheatgrass Juice

To truly get the full experience of juicing wheatgrass you’ll need two things: 1) a wheatgrass juicer and 2) supplies to grow your own wheatgrass. Come on, it’ll be fun!

Once you’re involved in growing your own wheatgrass, you’ll appreciate wheatgrass juice and all its benefits even more than if you just went to a juice bar and purchased a juice someone made for you.

You can use your imagination for wheatgrass recipes. Add anything from pineapple to carrots, apples, watermelon or any other fruit/veggie you care to add. Keep experimenting until you find the perfect ingredients for your tastes!

Wheatgrass Tip:

You probably don’t want to try eating wheatgrass; however, you may like just chewing on it and then discarding it. Remember: the juice that’ll be extracted either from you chewing it or juicing it is healthy for your teeth and gums!

There’s another old saying I love: “Anything worth having is hard work”!  Ultimate health is definitely worth any amount of money, effort, time, or dedication it takes to achieve. Whether you’re healthy now and want to maintain that health, or are in the middle of the fight for your life hanging on with all that’s inside of you while you search for the strength to keep fighting illness, wheatgrass is a door to a healthier future. Won’t you take this key I’m giving you today and open that door? Go through it and don’t look back!
