“It is alarmingly common to meet Raw Foodists with nutritional deficiencies. Tooth decay, hair loss, reduced life span, and other unfortunate consequences have been experienced by many of us on this supposedly ideal lifestyle.”—Matt Monarch, Author of Raw Success

Success with Juices, No Fasting

It’s quite interesting how many benefits you can get from juicing—without even fasting. Don’t take me wrong. I’m absolutely for fasting. I fast on water and herbal tea alone and I juice fast as well. But you don’t have to miss out on the nutrition raw juices provide simply because you misunderstand the concept and think you have to fast to reap the rewards. Drink your fresh, raw juices!

Juice for Breakfast

You can juice fresh oranges or create some sort of combo juice like strawberry-kiwi. You could also have a spinach-carrot juice. This is my favorite. It truly is delicious and not disgusting like most people assume, simply because it has spinach in it and they don’t want spinach for breakfast. It’s a sweet, nutritious juice. I love it because I feel like it’s sending life right through my veins at a fast pace—as soon as I drink it!

Whatever concoction you come up with, feel free to drink that juice with your breakfast or as your breakfast. You’ll still be getting tons of nutrients, phytochemicals, minerals, vitamins, and enzymes. This will only complement your breakfast, should you decide to have a fresh, raw juice with your breakfast.

Juices for Snacks

Get hungry between meals? Well, instead of reaching for a snack bar, a donut, or a bag of chips (for those non-Raw Foodists), have a juice. Juice combinations are endless. Throw in some tomatoes, celery, greens, carrots, half an apple, and you’ll simply be amazed at how satisfied you are—and you’ll be bombarding your body with life in a glass!

Juicing for Lunch or Dinner

Just like with breakfast, you can either have a juice with your lunch or dinner, or in its place. You might choose to have a green juice (mostly greens like kale, spinach, etc. with a few carrots or an apple thrown in to sweeten it a little) for—or with—that meal or you could also have a pineapple, apple, or some other fresh, raw fruit juice as a dessert.

You can never go wrong by adding fresh, raw juices to your day-to-day life—especially if you’re not fond of eating a lot of fresh fruits and veggies. What better way to get an adequate amount of those fresh fruits and veggies in than by drinking them. Once you’ve downed your raw juices, you won’t have to worry about munching raw veggies and fruits all day . Whether you’re a Raw Foodist or eat meat every day, your body will gobble up all that yummy nutrition and beg you to feed it more!
