Raw Food Benefit: Feeling Good!


Raw foods help you look and feel great! Feeling good or an improved sense of well being frequently offers people embracing a raw, vegan lifestyle a surprise benefit. But given the amazing benefits of raw foods, it’s no wonder that feeling good is part of the package.

Enhanced Sense of Well Being

First, let’s define a sense of well-being. Webster’s dictionary defines it as a sense of being “healthy, happy and prosperous.”  While raw foods may not make you wealthy and prosperous, eating a fresh plant-based diet can indeed improve health and happiness.

The benefits of eating a plant-based diet are a generally accepted fact among researchers, scientists and doctors. Long-term studies such as those reported in The China Study as well as many, many dietary experiments all point to lowered risk of cancer, heart disease and diabetes for people who consume diets rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and legumes. A raw food diet takes this one-step further, with a living foods lifestyle embracing healthy concepts such as organic foods, detoxification and more. That adds up to a powerful health package.

There’s an old adage that when you have health you have everything. Filling your body with healthy, organic raw foods may enhance health. When your body feels good, you feel good from head to toe. Raw foods can improve sleep, raise energy levels, and stabilize moods. Kick out the artificial chemicals, sweeteners, and additives and suddenly emotions stabilize.

It’s no wonder that raw foods lead to an enhanced sense of well being!

Doing Good for the Environment

Many people embrace raw foods for their low impact on the environment. Feedlots, factory farms and similar practices create harsh, polluted environments.  Grazing lands use up valuable resources. More vegetable crops can be grown on less acreage and feed more people. Eating raw foods is a loving gesture towards Mother Earth and her creatures!
